4. Carefully place the roof on the
w all surround, ensuring that the
opening for the chimney is facing
the front and aligned with the
firebox hood opening below it.
IMPORTANT:
The roof is 88 kgs. and is
heavy to lift. One recommended install
technique is to use wood 2”x4” studs to
lift spanning the roof widthwise. Lower
the roof down with the 2”x4” studs,
align the roof, and move the wood
studs out 1 at a time.
5. Place the chimney on top of the
firebox hood as indicated.
Apply a generous amount of high
temperature silicone on the
underside of the duct flange (see
close up picture on right). Insert
ducting into firebox hood opening
and ensure a good seal.
The fireplace will look like the image
on the right once the chimney
is installed. Ensure that both the
bottom and top are aligned.
Note that the chimney has a debris
screen that can be removed
for cleaning.
Ensure equal
overhang on all
sides of the roof.
