■
Never immerse the device and the connecting cable in water
or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or
become wet.
■
Do not make any modi fi cations to the device. Do not replace the
connecting cable yourself. If the device or the connecting cable
of the device are damaged, they must be replaced by the manu-
facturer, customer service department or authorised distributors
in order to avoid any hazards.
DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock
■ Use the device only in closed rooms.
■ Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.
■ Should the device fall into water, switch o ff the power supply immediately. Do not at-
tempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
■ Never touch the device and the connecting cable with wet hands when the device is
connected to the mains power.
■ Make sure that the steam which emerges does not come into contact with electrical
devices.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
su
ff ocation!
■ Make sure that the connecting cable is always kept out of the reach of small children
and animals. There is a danger of strangulation!
■ Keep items of clothing such as scarves, shawls, jewellery, ties and long hair away
from the co
ff ee bean compartment and the grinder shaft.
■ Do not reach into the co ff ee bean compartment and the grinder shaft and do not
insert any objects when the device is in operation!
Danger of scalding from heat, hot steam or condensation!
■ Avoid coming into contact with the rising steam. Do not open the water tank lid
and do not remove the brewing unit during the brewing process.
■ Be careful when removing the permanent fi lter and the fi lter insert after operating
the device. There may still be hot water remaining on them! Always allow the
device to cool down
fi rst before the accessories are removed and / or cleaned.
■ Never pour water into the water tank when the device is switched on or during the
brewing process. Allow the device to cool down before
fi lling it again.
■ Do not move the device during the brewing process.
■ In the interest of your own safety, inspect the device and the connecting cable for
damage each time before you use it. Use the device only if it is in working order.
■ The device must always be disconnected from the mains power before it is transported
and before it is cleaned.
