Leak Rate Time: Unit Safe at Ground
l) The Test Set will automatically switch into Leak Measure mode with the Static (Ps) and
Pitot (Pt) ports vented to ambient and the pumps will be powered off.
m) This completes leak testing the Static (Ps) channel using Method 1 (Leak Rate Timer).
2.
Method 2: ATP Leak Test
(refer to Figure 52)
Note
: It is highly recommended that the user performs the Test Set Only and/or Test
Set with Hoses prior to performing the Aircraft Leak Test.
a) From
the Main Menu, select “Leak Testing.” Touch “ATP Leak Test Profiles.” A screen
with three selections will appear.
b) Select either
an existing profile by touching “Select Leak Test Profile(s)” or “Create
Leak
Test Profiles” (refer to ATP Leak Test Profiles).
c) Follow the AMM or appropriate documents regarding the specific leak test required.
This information is necessary to create/define the appropriate and safe ATP Leak Test
profile.
d) From the ATP Leak Test GUI screen, select the Leak Test parameters as required.
e) Select
“Run.” Depending on the configuration of the ATP Leak Test, the automated
leak test process will begin.
f) If Pitot (Pt) Leak Test was selected it will be tested first. This test is always performed
while Ps is at ground “ambient pressure.”
Note
:
•
If Static (Ps) ALT is not at ground pressure, a Go To Ground will be
performed before starting the Pt Leak Test.
•
If Static (Ps) Low ALT was selected it will be tested second. If Static (Ps)
High ALT was selected, it will be tested third.
•
At the conclusion of the ATP Leak Test, the Test Set will automatically
perform a Go To Ground function and the following screen will display the
results (refer to Figure 55).
