One linear chain can maximum contain 128 pixels. So, maximum 32 MiPIX-20 blocks can be put in chain because each MiPIX-20
block contains four pixels. It’s not required to use all of the 128 pixels per chain. Pixels may be omitted started from the end of the
chain. On the other hand pixel blocks can never be skipped in the beginning of the chain. Omitting pixel blocks at the end of the
chain is useful for creating curved display edges.
The input (connection with controller) of a linear chain can be left or right for horizontal configurations either top or bottom for vertical
configurations. The input location can be different among the chains in the same configuration scheme. This flexibility makes it
easier to group the inputs of the linear chains together nearby the output ports of the MiPIX control unit.
You can create a MiPIX display by using the same type of configuration scheme several times in a grid. It’s also possible to use
different configuration schemes in the same display like illustrated in the example below where is chosen for a combination of two
different linear chain configurations. You can also mix the linear chain configurations with the tile configuration.
