3. Network integration
After completion of the LAN cabling, power on the Green BCM: Since its WALL interface is configured as DHCP
server all connected devices automatically receive a (short term) IP address which is the basis for the configura-
tion of the system.
OVD/KVD/IVD displays have two LAN interfaces. It is recommended to setup the wall
subnet using LAN1 and keep LAN2 for future use.
Each of the LAN interfaces have a (different) MAC address … thus one display features two
MAC addresses.
Therefore for identification of the display the serial number is used which is unique for the
display and constant over life time.
LAN1 of the display is connected to the WALL interface of the Green BCM Box! This is the
only supported configuration!
A display MUST NOT be connected via LAN1 to WALL interface of Green BCM Box and via
LAN2 to CLIENT interface of Green BCM Box!
A display MUST NOT be connected via LAN1 to WALL interface of one Green BCM Box and
via LAN2 to WALL interface of a second Green BCM Box!
In case you think of additional ways of connecting a display be aware that these are NOT
supported!
