7.2 Playback
7.2.1 Hardware Connections
About
In a playback scenario pre-produced material will be stored on the IOSONO CORE’s internal memory. The immersive audio contentis
stored as an IOSONO content
fi le ( *.icf or *.imf ) containing both audio and scene data in a common fi le. Standard multichannel
wave fi les can be played back as well but will require additional scene data as created in the Scene Designer. External inputs may
be fed via the audio inputs of the IOSONO CORE. The wiring scheme for this application often is similar to a standard IOSONO
setup as described in "Hardware Connections", page 11 or in the image image 7-9 below.

7.2.2 Create A Loudspeaker File
About
A loudspeaker fi le is the basis for any preset and the rendering process. It has to re fl ect the real loudspeaker setup as closely as
possible. Any deviation between the actual setup and the fi le will impair the render precision and the overall sound quality.
Please fi nd several examples of how to build different loudspeaker fi les in the previous chapters "Create A Loudspeaker File", page
11,"Create A Loudspeaker File", page 41 and "Create A Loudspeaker File", page 46.
To create a loudspeaker fi le
1. Create a Loudspeaker Setup in System:
- Options - Loudspeaker Setups - Create
- Type in Name , Screen size and Position and the Audience Area dimensions
- Add Groups with + (Type: Rectangle, Circle, Surface, Standard Setups)
- De fi ne system Dimensions
- De fi ne Loudspeaker numbers and positions
