20. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ACTIONS
Maintenance program
The maintenance program is subdivided in time frames. The maintenance actions described in this chapter can be done by a trained
projectionist. Note that there are also annually and 10 yearly maintenance actions (not included in this manual) which must be done
by certi
fi ed service personnel who are familiar with potential hazards of the product and all product safety checks. Contact your
service partner for more information about maintenance services.
Monthly actions could be adapted regarding the setup and environmental conditions. See remarks in related
maintenance sections below.

20.1 1 month maintenance actions
Perform every month
The 1 month maintenance actions, listed below, may be performed by a trained projectionist who is familiar
with potential hazards associated with the product.
The maintenance interval concerning the actions listed below is indicative. This interval can be evaluated and
adapted (relaxed or tightened) depending on the environmental contamination conditions and the device’s
operating frequency. these conditions will change from site to site.

1 Check the two dust fi lters of the projector for dust and grease .
Grease on the fi lter can build up after several months in an environment
contaminated with greasy air. Note that areas where popcorn is consumed are
subject to greasy air.
Never install a used fi lter. Always install a new fi lter when they are contaminated
with dust or grease.
Replace damaged fi lters immediately.

2 Check the dust fi lter of the cooler for dust and grease .
Grease on the fi lter can build up after several months in an environment
contaminated with greasy air. Note that areas where popcorn is consumed are
subject to greasy air.
• If the fi lter is contaminated with dust than cleaning the fi lter with a vacuum
cleaner should be suf fi cient.
• In case the fi lter feels greasy than the fi lter must be washed .
Take into account that the time needed to dry the dust fi lter may be 24 hours or
more. For that, it’s recommended to have a second set of dust fi lter which can
be used while cleaning the fi rst set.
Replace damaged fi lter immediately.

To speed-up drying, allow the fi lter(s)
to dry at 50°C max in a well ventilated
room.
