5. Troubleshooting

Code 8521: “Tilt rotation not allowed” (Error)

This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8520: “Tilt rotation not allowed”. The same troubleshooting table can be
applied to.

Code 8550: “Lamp runtime message exceeded” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

The lamp inside the lamp house is
about to exceed its maximum run
time.

Replace the lamp as soon as possible. See "Removing the xenon lamp from the lamp
house", page 123.

Code 8551: “Lamp runtime warning exceeded” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

The lamp inside the lamp house is
about to exceed its maximum run
time. This is a second warning.

Replace the lamp as soon as possible. See "Removing the xenon lamp from the lamp
house", page 123.

Code 8552: “Lamp runtime maximum exceeded” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

The lamp inside the lamp house has
exceeded its maximum run time.

Replace the lamp immediately. See "Removing the xenon lamp from the lamp house",
page 123.

Code 8553: “Lamp runtime shutdown exceeded” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

The lamp inside the lamp house has
exceeded its maximum run time.

Shutdown the projector immediately. Replace the lamp prior to restart the projector. See
"Removing the xenon lamp from the lamp house", page 123.

Code 8600: “Check cooling liquid level” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

One of more DMDs have a high
temperature.

Check the level of the liquid cooling. Add cooling liquid if appropriate. See "Liquid
cooling circuit", page 239.

Check dust

lters. Ensure that the projector air inlets are not blocked.

Make sure that the ambient temperature is within specs: lower then 40°C (104°F).

Code 8601: “Check dust

lters” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

Filthy dust

DMD temperature.

Replace a

lter with a new one.

Code 8602: “Check air

ow” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

A blocked air inlet causes a too high
Lamp House temperature.

Ensure that the air inlet at the left lower front of the projector is not blocked.

Code 8603: “Overtemperature dimming” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

The projector has automatically
reduced the lamp power due to too
high internal temperatures.

Check for error/warning messages in the projector noti

of the over temperature.

Code 8604: “Check cooling liquid level every 6 months” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

Six months between last servicing.

Check the level of the liquid cooling. Add cooling liquid if appropriate. See "Liquid
cooling circuit", page 239

Ensure that all preventative maintenance actions are done. See service manual
chapter "Preventative maintenance actions", page 19.
