5. Troubleshooting
Code 7691: “Rod in temp low” (Warning)
Situation
Solution
The ambient temperature in the
area of the light pipe of the projector
is almost below the minimum
required operating temperature of
the projector.
Make sure that the ambient temperature is within specs: higher then 10°C (50°F). Let
the projector acclimate. Do not ignite the lamp, otherwise there is a risk for condensate.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 16 image 5-31) which
measures the temperature at the
entrance of the light pipe.
Replace the temperature sensor mounted on the cooling block of the light pipe entrance
(reference 16).

Code 7692: “Rod in temp high” (Warning)
Situation
Solution
Blocked
fi
lter. The DMD
temperatures are probably too
high as well.
Ensure that the air inlets of the projector are not blocked. Replace a dirty
fi
lter with a
new one.
The wire unit of the temperature
sensor (NTC) of the cooling block of
the light pipe is disconnected from
the Power Distribution board.
Check if the wire unit (reference 16 image 5-32) of the temperature sensor of the cooling
block of the Light Pipe is connected with the Power Distribution board.
Malfunction Fan Control board.
Replace the Fan Control Board. See "Replacing the Fan control board", page 278.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 16 image 5-31) which
measures the temperature at the
entrance of the Light Pipe.
Replace the temperature sensor mounted on the cooling block of the Light Pipe
(reference 16).
