17.3.2 pd Diagnostic
The pdDiagnostics tool is a custom tool initially developed by Barco for use with projectors based on the Titanium processing platform
(GP9). It also supports the new products based on Pulse processing platform (e.g F70, F80 & F90).
pd Diagnostics can be used for diagnostics, logging and
fi

Prospector is available on Barco.com, technical downloads folder for every compatible product.
The downloadable
fi
rmware also contains a User guide.

17.4 Troubleshooting
About this chapter
This chapter enumerates all possible error and warning codes which can appear on the projected screen (OSD), the local display of
the projector, or in the projector log
fi
les. Note that some codes have a warning and an error state. Some only have an error state,
others have only a warning state. In case of a “warning” the projector remains to operate. Nevertheless, it is recommended to solve
the problem which is causing the “warning” as soon as possible otherwise, the “warning” state may turn into an “error” state which
will switch off the projector consequently.
The codes are placed in ascending order to make it easier to look up the code and
fi
nd an appropriate solution.
Keep in mind that the module that reports the error isn’t necessarily the root cause of the problem. Search
through the error log for the error messages that are most likely the root cause for the projector shutting down.
For example: if you spot a “temperature too high” message, but there are other similar error messages, it is
safe to assume that the “high temperature” is a general problem instead of a component-speci
fi
c problem.
