9.1 About Aspect Ratios

Aspect Ratio Description
Fit Forces format of all input signals into the native panel resolution.
16:9
Wide screen television format/Anamorf format.
4:3 Standard television format.
5:4 Workstations format.
2.35 Panavision or Cinemascope format, frequently used by Hollywood films.
1.88 Film format used by a lot of non-action films.
1.78 Wide screen television format/Anamorf format.
Letterbox Forces the letter format of the input signal into the native panel resolution.
Select the desired ASPECT RATIO (depending the image format of the input source) item by pushing the * button on the Remote
Control.
This setting, obtained via the * button will not be saved for later use. Aspect ratios set via the adjustment menus are saved and will
be used again next time an equal source is selected.
Example : input signal 4 by 3 video input coming from off air signal.
