6.2 HEAT RADIATION
The table below shows the temperatures which can theoretically be achieved by
burning wood.

The heating value of wood (18.7 MJ/kg at 0% humidity) is not affected by the sort of
wood. What does make a difference is the relative humidity of the wood (15.6 MJ/kg
at 15% humidity).

Wood: 2 blocks each around 1.2 kg
Briquettes: 3 blocks each around 0.5 kg
Dimensions wood block: c. 30 cm long and 30 cm perimeter .
The maximum burning load is based on a nominal capacity of 9 kW and a
effi ciency of 77%.
