A chip card slot, where cards are inserted vertically, is better accessible than one using
a horizontal insertion, both for the cardholder

Clear pictograms on the terminal display explain how to insert a chip card or to swipe
a magnetic stripe card. This is application-specific, and a possibility could be as
follows:
Chip security modules
The C-ZAM/XENTA terminal has 4 internal chip card interfaces (type ID0) for chip security
modules (CSM, SAM) able to read 3V and 5V CSMs. To reach the CSM slots the bottom
cover needs to be opened.
Standard current provided to the CSMs is 55 mA.
