Read the Safety Precautions carefully before use to ensure correct operation. The precautions described in
this manual must be followed to ensure safe use of this appliance and prevent hazards to you and other
people, as well as damage to the appliance and your home or property.

WARNING
Preparations for Use
Do not use the appliance near flammable
materials such as curtains.
Do not place the appliance where it may
be subjected to heat, such as near a
range, heater, or microwave oven.
Do not use the appliance on a mat
sensitive to heat.
Doing so may cause fire.
Do not cover the main body with a cloth
and the like.
Doing so may cause burns, fire, or malfunction.
Do not insert any metallic objects or
other foreign objects into the drainage
hole in the bottom of the main body.
Doing so may cause electric shock or malfunction.
Do not place other electrical appliances,
wooden furniture, or books where they
may be exposed to steam or water
discharged from the main body.
The steam may cause surrounding items to
catch fire, malfunction, or become discolored
or deformed.
Do not place the main body on top of
other appliances, such as a microwave
oven. Do not place any appliances on top
of the main body. Do not place the
product inside a cabinet.
Doing so may cause burns, fire, failure,
or malfunction.
Do not use the appliance where there is a
large amount of humidity, such as in a
bathroom, in a wet place, or near a device
that discharges steam.
Doing so may cause electric shock, fire,
or malfunction.
Do not place the appliance on flammable
surfaces such as wooden counters, wood
flooring, or carpet.

After carefully reading “Preparations”
(p. 9), take hold of the base or the
central section of the main body and
move the appliance to where it is to be
set up.
Holding other sections may make the appliance
unstable, causing injuries or malfunction.
Position the appliance on a stable and
horizontal surface.
Placing it on an unstable surface may cause
the appliance to fall over during use. In addition,
water or other kinds of liquid may spill, causing
electric shock. Do not use the appliance while
its base is not completely on a table. In addition,
do not place the appliance where it may touch
curtains and the like or where pets may come
close to it.
After carefully reading “Preparations”
(p. 9), position the appliance so that
there is space around the main body. If
walls are made of heat-sensitive material
such as plastic, position the appliance
with additional space around it.
Heat, steam, or vapor may accumulate,
causing fire, malfunction, or discoloration or
deformation of surrounding objects. In addition,
coffee may splash out, making the surrounding
area dirty.
