5.5 Initializing data

carriers

Switch to the

“Settings”

tab

►

Start Balluff RFID Reader.

►

Activate

“Use CRC Check”

►

Activate read/write head by
tapping

[Open reader]

The settings are grayed
out and the button
changes to

[Close

reader]

tab

Select start address, number
of bytes, and data format.

►

Tap on

[CRC Init]

⇒

The

“Operate”

field

begins to flash yellow.

►

Hold the active surface to the
data carrier you wish to initia-
lize.

⇒

The data carrier is initia-
lized; if successful, the

“Operate”

field lights up

green.

⇒

If there is a write error,
the

“Operate”

field lights

up red.
