Operating The Klearside Side Rails
Safety
Side rails must only be used after a full risk assessment has been carried out.

Raising
Lowering
To raise the side rail
1)
Depress the top button on the
side of the head/foot board.
2)
Pull the side rail up until it is
higher than the button. Then
release the button.
To lower the side rail
1)
Pull the side rail up
2)
Depress the button
3)
Lower the side rail to the
bottom of the head/foot board
Side rail positions
Side rails down
For normal use of the bed and access to the user.
Both Ends Raised
This gives full protection to the user.
Warning

Both ends of the side rail must be
raised.
Warning
—
Users are at risk of serious injury if
they attempt to climb over the top of the side
rails.
Warning
—
The Klearside is unsafe for use if a
tear occurs on the Klearside.
Warning
–
Ensure Vinyl is correctly tensioned
before use
