TROUBLESHOOTING
FAULT PROBABLE CAUSE REMEDY
Blade Sticks in Body
Normal operation if piece of
material is also stuck with blade.
Dry blade and or material.
Blade is worn or burred.
Some deformation of the
material will occur. This will at
times cause the blade to stick in
the body. Stop the machine and
clean the blade and body.
Apply oil to the blade and the
material to be cut.
Remove blade and hone the
cutting edge. Avoid changing the
diameter of the blade. This will
increase the blade gap causing
the material to stick between the
blade and the body easier.
Motor Stalls
Dry blade and or material.
Material is above capacity of
notcher.
Low voltage.
Apply oil to the blade and the
material to be cut.
Verify that the material is within
specification for both size and
strength.
Verify that the voltage to the
notcher is above 209VAC during
the cut.
WARNING:
Make sure the electrical disconnect is OFF before working on
the machine.
