Your speaker
does not turn on
Make sure that your speaker is plugged into a
working AC power outlet using its power cord. See
First time setup.
Your speaker
cannot be
discovered in
the Urbanears
Connected app
If your speaker is not visible in the Urbanears
Connected app, make sure that:
•
Your speaker has finished starting up. During
start-up, both SOLO and MULTI indicators are
lit.
•
The mobile device is connected to the same
Wi-Fi network as your speaker.
If your speaker is still not showing up in the
Urbanears Connected app:
01. Put your speaker in setup mode manually.
See Enter setup mode manually.
There is no sound
If your speaker is on but you can’t hear any sound,

•
The volume is not too low or muted on your
sound source and speaker. See Working the
Knobs.
•
The correct audio source is selected. See
Working the Knobs.
•
The intended sound source is connected. See
Playing via Bluetooth or Playing via AUX input.
•
Your speaker is connected to a Wi-Fi
network when playing via Spotify, AirPlay or
Chromecast built-in. See First time setup.
Noise when
charging via USB
and playing via
AUX from same

On some devices, normal noise from the USB port
can cause interference when playing audio via AUX
input. If this happens, try one of the solutions below.
•
Disconnect AUX and connect via Wi-Fi or
Bluetooth.
•
Use a different playback device.
•
Use a separate charger for the playback device
•
Purchase an optional USB Type A noise filter.
Your speaker
cannot connect
to a new Wi-Fi
network
If you move or change your Wi-Fi network,
reconfigure the speaker to use the new Wi-Fi
network.
01. Turn the SOURCE knob to .
02. Push and hold until the ring of lights around it
blink continuously to clear all previous Wi-Fi
network connections.
03. Reselect a Wi-Fi network from inside the
Urbanears Connected app.
Your speaker
cannot connect
or pair with a
Bluetooth device
When pairing your speaker with a Bluetooth device,
make sure that:
•
Bluetooth is enabled on your device
(smartphone, tablet, computer).
•
The device and the speaker are within 10
meters of each other, unobstructed by walls or
doors.
You are prompted
for a pin code
when pairing
Bluetooth devices
In most cases, a pin code (password) is not needed.
If a pin code is requested, enter: 0000.
The audio is
cutting out when
playing in Multi
Mode
If the Wi-Fi bandwidth is too low for Multi Mode to
play at normal quality, the audio can start cutting out.
Adjust the streaming quality to compensate for the
low Wi-Fi bandwidth.
01. Open the Urbanears Connected app and tap
the menu button.
02. Tap on Settings and then “Multi Streaming
Quality”.
03. Set “Multi Streaming Quality” to “Low”.
Your speaker is
not responding
In the rare case that your speaker is not responding
due to a software problem, do the following:
01. Unplug your speaker from the wall socket.
02. Wait for 15 seconds, then plug it in again.
03. Wait for the speaker to start up.
If your speaker is still not responding after start-up is
completed:
04. Reset your speaker to its factory state. See
05. Redo the initial setup. See First time setup.
You don’t have
access to a Wi-Fi
network
To play your speaker when there is no Wi-Fi network

Connect a compatible device to your speaker
using Bluetooth. See Playing via Bluetooth.
•
Connect a compatible device to your speaker
using a cable. See Playing via AUX input.
You don’t have a
smartphone or
tablet
