2. Place the piston inside the meter, over the cone as shown in

SPRING INSTALLATION
1. Install the spring into the body with the double coils up.

2. Secure the already fastened fitting of the meter in a vice or
dedicated fixture.

3. Place the second fitting into the open end of the meter and
hand-thread for a few turns, making sure that it is flat/level.
4. Once the fitting is started, use a spring depressor to keep the
spring from hindering the fitting from fully seating.

5. Using appropriate torque wrench with locknut socket,
tighten the fitting to 85…90 ft·lb.

6. Flip the meter over in the vice and tighten the second fitting
using the appropriate torque wrench.
NOTE:
N
After installing the second fitting, visually inspect
both ends of the unit to make sure that the o-ring has
been properly installed and is properly seated. If it is
protruding out of the o-ring groove, remove the fitting,
remove and inspect the o-ring (replace with a new
o-ring if there are any nicks, cuts or scrapes) and reinstall
making sure that it is seated properly.
NOTE:
N
After assembly of the meter, visually inspect both ends
of the meter for uniformed circumferential lines of
contact between the o-rings and meter body.
