ENGINE
The oil drain is located on the bottom of the engine oil
pan. Bad Boy recommends that the engine oil and filter
be changed after the initial 8hrs of break in. After the
initial engine oil service, Bad Boy recommends
changing the engine oil and filter every 100 hours of
use or once annually whichever comes first. Please
refer to the engine owner’s manual for oil capacity.
15W-40 engine oil is recommended for maximum
protection.
CHANGING YOUR ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
1.
Place an oil drain pan (12” or more in diameter
and 8 qt. capacity is optimal) beneath the oil
drain plug. Remove oil drain plug and allow oil
to drain completely.
2.
The oil filter is located on the right side of the
engine block. Clean area around oil filter.
Remove oil filter and clean sealing surface.
Lubricate oil filter seal. Install new oil filter and
tighten ¾ turn past gasket contact.
3.
Fill crankcase with approximately 3.25 quarts
of new oil. Level should reach top of indicator
on dipstick.
4.
Start engine; check for oil leaks. Stop Engine;
correct oil leaks if present. Recheck oil level.
5.
Dispose of used oil and filter in accordance
with local ordinances.
