DSL Modem - Simple Setup
You already have a DSL connection to the Internet. This means that you have everything you
need.
Getting ready:
(a) If you have installed an Access Manager or some other high-speed connection software that
was given to you by your ISP (Internet Service Provider), or if you have configured PPPoE on
your PC, then first disable it on your PC. (Please contact your ISP for assistance.)
(b) Next, turn off the power to the DSL modem and leave it unpowered for two minutes.
Disconnect the Ethernet cable that runs between the modem and the computer. [See
Figure 1:
Cables for an illustration of the various cables.] Unpack the babyBOX and preserve the original
packaging in case you need to return the babyBOX to babyTEL for whatever reason. Now
proceed as shown below.

(1) Connect an Ethernet cable from the Ethernet jack (10Base-T) of the DSL modem to the
WAN jack of the babyBOX. [See
Figure 1: Cables for a view of the various cables.]
(2) Connect a second Ethernet cable from the ENET jack of the babyBOX to the Ethernet jack
(also called Network Jack) of the computer.
(3) Connect your telephone set to the PHONE1 jack of the babyBOX.
