Scooter |
Centuro S7
without the occupant. Only lift by the solid parts of the frame.
•
Avoid hitting obstacles (steps, curbs) at full speed.
•
The control unit must always be switched off when getting in or out
of the scooter.
•
All road traffic regulations must be observed when driving on
public roads.
•
The rear lights at the scooter must always be visible to other road
users.
•
If possible, wear bright, conspicuous clothing. This will make it
easier for other road users to see you.
•
Please note that the upholstery will heat up if directly exposed
to sunlight and may cause injuries to your skin when touched.
You should therefore cover these parts or protect the scooter from
exposure to direct sunlight.
•
The seat materials comply with the flammability resistance
requirements of EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2. Nevertheless, you
should exercise the necessary caution if you are smoking and
refrain from putting any cigarettes down on the scooter.
•
Reporting incidents. The operator or user must immediately report
1. any malfunction
2. any change to the features or performance as well as
3.Immediately report any improper labelling or instructions for
use of a medical device that have or could have led to the death
or serious deterioration of the health of a patient, an employee
or a third party to your competent regional authority for medical
devices. This institute will immediately forward the notification
to the operator’s competent authority and also inform the
manufacturer and the manufacturer’s competent authority.
Please note that operation in pushing mode by dis-
connecting the drives must only take place on a level
surface. The electro-mechanical brake is thereby di-
sabled. There is a danger of fatal injury if this inst-
ruction is not complied with..
2.2. Information on EMC
interference
Despite compliance with all applicable EMC directives and standards, it
is possible that the scooter may affect or be affected by other electrical
devices (e.g. mobile phones, alarm systems in department stores).
If you become aware of any such interference, either turn off the other
device or turn off your scooter and move it outside the range of the
interference.
2.3. Brakes
There is a service brake for braking while in pushing mode with the
drive disconnected or in an emergency (Fig. 01).
After letting go of the joy-stick, the automatic brakes will slow the
scooter until it comes to a complete stop. If the drive is connected,
the scooter cannot be pushed or displaced because the brake is
automatically applied to the motors.
2.4. Safety in vehicles
Your scooter is not suitable for use on the designated buses in the
public transport network.
The Centuro S7 is not suitable for use as a car seat.
Under no circumstances may it be used as such. It
does not meet the requirements stipulated by ISO
7176-19. Failure to observe this instruction can
lead to extremely serious or fatal injuries in the
event of an accident.
The braking distance is significantly longer on a
downhill gradient than on level ground. Keep this
in mind when driving on sloping terrain and brake
in time.
