PCI/VGA Palette Snoop
The VGA Palette is the set of colors a Video Card uses when it is in the 256-
color mode. To determine which colors are being used, some devices need to
be able to “look” at the VGA Palette. If this option is “
Enabled
” then these de-
vices will be able to “look” at the Palette. This option is only used in
very rare
circumstances and the default setting is therefore “
Disabled
.”
We recom-
mend that you retain this default setting at ALL times
.
Assign IRQ For VGA/USB
A system’s IRQs are limited. Sometimes you may need to use more IRQ sig-
nals for your add-on cards. BIOS allows you to disable the IRQ which is sup-
posed to be connected to the VGA and USB ports. If you choose to disable the
IRQ on the VGA or USB port, the IRQ will be released and becomes available
for other devices. Please make sure that you have a USB or VGA adapter that
does not need an IRQ before you select Disabled.
