Controls and
Operation
System-sleep can reduce
power consumption in
AyreLink connected power
amplifiers when not
listening to music.
The following chapter contains information on
the controls available for your QX-5 Twenty.
These are available from the faceplate, the remote
control handset, and various software applications.
Off / On (0/1)
The main power switch for the QX-5 Twenty
is a rocker on the rear panel. This switch
disconnects the unit completely from the AC
power. When the unit is turned “off”, none of
the auxiliary functions (e.g., the AyreLink system
communication and Ethernet input) are operable.
Once the QX-5 Twenty is turned “on”, it may
take 30 minutes to fully warm up and sound its
best. A System-sleep option is available, this allows
auxiliary functions to operate and minimizes
warm-up time by keeping power applied to the
audio circuitry, see (pg. 28).
