Axminster Cabinet & Recess Hinge Jig
To speed up the fitting of butt and cabinet hinges, this simple device will soon pay for itself in the time saved when
cutting the recesses.
The UJK Technology Cabinet & Recess Hinge Jig cuts the hinge recess using a combination of a router fitted with an
appropriate guide bush and cutter. For instance, using a 26mm guide bush and 20mm cutter, the template will cut
recesses for 100mm and 50mm butt hinges (4” butts may require using a 25mm guide bush). Use a 40mm guide bush
with a 9mm cutter for 75mm or 25mm hinges. Just take out the waste from the corners with a corner chisel and your
hinges will drop in nicely. For concealed cabinet hinges, use a 24mm guide bush with a 12mm cutter for a 35mm recess
and a 30mm guide bush with a 9mm cutter for a 26mm recess. Full instructions supplied with jig.
