About Digital I/O
The onboard GPIO (digital I/O) has 8 bits. Each bit can be set to function as input or output by
software programming. In default, DIO1~8 are pulled high with +5V level (according to main
power). The BIOS default settings are 8 outputs where all of these pins are set to 1. Use these
GPIO signals to control cash drawers and sense warning signals from an Uninterrupted Power
System (UPS) or perform store security control.
How to Use Digital I/O
Start

1. Enable configuration:
-O 2E 87
-O 2E 87

2. Function selection:
-O 2E 1C
-O 2F 1C

3. Select Logic device:
-O 2E 07
-O 2F 07

4. Set DIO mode:
-O 2E E8
-O 2F FF ; Set DIO1~8 to Input or Output mode
; If set FF (11111111) DIO1~8 are all input
; If set 00 (00000000) DIO1~8 are all output
; (1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1)

5. Set Output level:
-O 2E E9
-O 2F FF ; Set DIO1~8 Output level.
