BIOS Setup Utility

CPU Configuration

 

This screen shows  the CPU Configuration, and you can change the value of the 
selected option.

 

 

Hyper-threading 

Enabled for W indows XP and Linux and disabled for other OS which do not optimized 
for Hyper-threating technology.

 

 

Active Processor Cores 

Number of cores to enable in each processor package. 

 

Limit CPUID Maximum 

Set limit CPUID Maximum value. Should be set as 

“

disabled

”

 for  W indows XP. 

 

Execute Disable Bit 

No-Execution page protection technology is able to force the XD feature flag to 
always return 0. 

 

Intel Virtualization Technology 

Allow you to enable or disable Intel Virtualization Technology. W hen enabled, a VMM 
can utilize the additional hardware capabilities provided by Vanderpool Technology .
