Product description:
The EOC 30-01 Master and the EOC 30-21 Dual Master use the G.hn standard
to build an Ethernet-over-coax network with the EOC Endpoints via the coaxial
cables of the house installation. The EOC Master is connected to the internet
modem of the telephone or cable operator.
The EOC devices use the frequency range of 5 ... 204 MHz ex works. All
components in the coaxial cable network should be suitable for return path in
this frequency range to enable the full data rate.
If the return path range in an installation is only 5 ... 65 MHz, then the return
path range used by the EOC devices can be limited to 5 ... 65 MHz (Configure
a notch filter for all devices and install a TZU 198-64 low-pass filter on the
EoC+RF port of the master and on all G.hn ports of the endpoints). This results
in a limited data rate.
The device may only be used in a CATV network if the forward path frequency
range of the CATV network starts from 258 MHz or the return path range used
by the EOC devices is limited to 5 ... 65 MHz.

Bootloader mode
Configuration:
The device is configured via the graphical user interface of the integrated
web interface. To access the user interface, you need a standard PC/laptop
with a network interface and the actual version of the installed web
browser.
The factory default IP address is 192.168.1.1 and the default subnet mask is
255.255.255.0. To access the EOC with default IP, your PC should be within
the same IPv4 network.
The EOC Master will prompt you a window for password authorization. The
both factory default username and password is ‘admin’.
After the first log-in, the password should be changed.
Note:
Under NMU Configuration, Quality of Service (QoS) the option Traffic
Awareness should set to On. This achieves optimized data traffic.
Hardware connections:
Select a convenient location for the EOC near the internet modem to which
it will be connected. The device should be kept away from excessive heat.
Please make sure the coaxial network is well grounded.
Use a coaxial cable to connect the EOC+RF port to the feeding in point of
the coax network (splitter, combiner, terrestrial input of a multiswitch etc.).
Connect the LAN1 or LAN2 port to the internet modem.
Power Supply:
The DC switch on the side has two positions:
DC IN:
The EOC Master runs in local power mode.
Connect the power adapter to the DC IN 12V port and connect it to a wall
outlet.
LINE:
The EOC Master runs in line power mode
Powering EOC Master via the coaxial cable connected to port ‘RF+Data’
or port ‘RF’ from coax is necessary (typical 60 VAC input (range 48V~90V,
50/60 Hz AC).
Alternatively powering EOC Master via the port LAN2 (PoE = Power over
Ethernet acc. to IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at, it supports mode A and B).
Reset or settings to factory default:
While EOC Master is on, press the reset button for 1 second.
The EOC Master will reboot.
Press the reset button for 5 seconds until the unlabelled LEDs next to the
diagnosis LED light up.
All settings are set to factory default (for example, the IP address will be set
to 192.168.1.1).
Press the reset button for lasting 10 seconds until the unTabd LEDs and the
diagnosis LED will light up.
All configured values of the EOC Master and the connected EOC 30-
0x are reset to factory settings.
