Reading
Present the credential against key 5 on keypad
Successful reading is indicated by a green or red padlock
If reading is not indicated, the access tag / card may be incompatible, or has MIFARE or EM-read-
ing disabled. This is set in the menu

Radio
For best coverage, the reader should be mounted with the front facing the reading area. As the
reading is affected by the installation environment, the reading distance can vary between 5 and 50
meters. i.e. wall materials, vehicle bodies and electrical equipment. Before mounting the reader
permanently, testing with radio key RN-18 is recommended. Great improvement can be achieved
by moving or redirecting the reader.
Radio reading can only be done with radio key VAKA RN18.
SOLO (Off line)
With Axema SOLO, an Offline system can be built with up to ten A66 readers, completely without
interconnecting cabling. A common database is stored locally in the readers and is spread by
MIFARE DESFire EV2 tags. In a SOLO system, access rights and time schedules are identical for
all readers.
