RECEIVER RVS

Installation Manual

General information

•

Only one RVS receiver can be associated with the Raptor series control panel (not compatible with Raptor LC). It is able to receive the Video if

combined with wireless detectors with CAM included and to manage the firmware upgrade.

•

RVS does not manage remote controls, wireless sirens and wireless keypads, which are received and managed directly by the control panel.

•  RVS

manages footage from

up to 125 sensors

.

•  RVS

should be plugged into a dedicated connector in the control panel main board.

•

Non-volatile events memory able to save up to 125 video

•

It has two wireless sections: one for standard wireless communications, the other for receiving images. Both operate at 868 MHz but, while

standard communications travel at 9600bps, images at 100 Kbps to minimize transfer time

•

Before installation, it is recommended to check the effective range of each sensor. Remember that the image transmission may have a lower

wireless range than standard communications.

•

Each movie consists of 10 frames, one every 0.5 seconds: the first 5 are before to the alarm and the last 5 after the alarm.

•

The size of a movie is typically between 60 and 100 Kbytes, depending on the images, to which 20Kbytes are added, if audio is enabled.

•

To optimize energy savings, the device manages, in real time, information on the status of the control panel (OFF or ON, HO, etc ...) and of the

sensors included in the arming (ON, HO, etc ...). The shooting and transmission of the videos will be activate only if the detectors are “armed”.

Furthermore, if 2 or 3 detectors would be in alarm at the same time, manages the radio transfer of the videos making sure that the transmissions

line up orderly to avoid interference.

RVS receiver and wireless video detectors Firmware update

•  RVS update

: performed through XWIN by connecting the PC to the control panel via the USB port and activating the “USB connection” from the

keypad. Once the customer has been opened in XWIN, select the path “

Service

Firmware Update

RVS

” and select the RVS firmware file

•

Wireless Video detectors Firmware update

: the same procedure is carried out for the RVS receiver, but selecting the detector firmware.

Once the file has been downloaded to the control panel, the RVS receiver creates a detector list, among those acquired, which need to be updated.

Using the Keypad, enter programming, select the path “

Wireless Device Management

Agg.Fw.Sens.RVS

” and press “

ENT

”.

The message “

Waiting for connection

” appears on the keypad display, as soon as a detector communicates with the control panel, the firmware

update begins and it is signaled with the message “

in progress

...” on the control panel display and the flashing of detector led.

The procedure will end only when all detectors have been updated.

•

Deleting Wireless Video detectors firmware, stored in the RVS Receiver

: using the keypad, enter programming, select the path “

Wireless

Device Manager

RST.fw.sens.RVS

” and press “

ENT

”.

WARNING

: TO AVOID IRREVERSIBLE MALFUNCTIONS, DO NOT DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY OR RESET THE DEVICES DURING

THE UPDATE PROCEDURE.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE MUST BE PERFORMED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL

The product complies with the European Directives for CE marking.
