Replacing Backup Batteries on Unit

Install/Replace Backup Battery
These set uses a backup battery system to provide 

continuous alarm operation and clock settings in the 

event of a power failure. If the clock or alarm not work, it 

is time to replace the backup batteries. Please make sure 

the AC adaptor is connected, otherwise all settings may 

be lost during battery replacement.

        Open the battery compartment cover located on the 

bottom of the unit. Insert 2 “AAA” size batteries as 

indicated. We recommend the use of alkaline 

batteries for longer life.

Batteries information:
        Do not mix old and new batteries.
        Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or 

rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

         

Install/Replace the Remote Control Batteries

The remote control  batteries are already installed at the 

factory. Remove battery insulator  tape before use. When the 

remote control stops operating or its range seems reduced, 

replace the batteries with new ones.

1.     The battery door is located on the back of the unit.
2.     Pull the battery door out.
3.   Insert one “CR2032” 3-volt lithium batteries. Make sure 

the polarity (the + and - side of the battery) is correct.

4.    Fully insert the battery door back to the original   position.

NOTE:

Battery contain chemical substances, so they 

should be disposed of properly.

Power Supply

Switching on the system

1.    Press 

and the LCD display is on with backlighting. (The system will 

switch to the last selected source.)

2.    Press 

MODE

to select function mode (RADIO/IPOD/USB/CARD/AUX).

Switching the system to standby mode

       In any source mode, press 

.

Switching off the volume temporarily

       Press 

MUTE

 on the remote control to stop sound playback instantly.

       Playback will continues without sound and the display shows MUTE.
       To start sound playback, press 

MUTE

 again, adjust the volume controls or change source.

Setting the Clock

1.    Press and hold 

MEMORY/SET

 to select 12 Hours/24 Hours mode.

2.    Press 

MEMORY/SET

 once, then

 

clock digits for hours flashes. Press 

SKIP+/- 

repeatedly to set and 

adjust the hours.

3.    Press 

MEMORY/SET

 once, then clock digits for minutes flashes. Press 

SKIP+/- 

repeatedly to set and 

adjust the minutes.

4.    Press 

MEMORY/SET

 to confirm.

Using the Alarms
General

Two different alarm times can be set. This can be useful when you need to be woken up at a different time 

e.g. During the week and at the weekend, and you can set different wake-up modes:
        

BUZZER→RADIO→IPOD→USB→CARD

Setting the Alarms

1.    In any mode, press hold 

ALARM 1

 for two seconds. (

2.    Hold down or press 

SKIP+/SKIP-

 repeatedly to set and adjust the hours.

3.    Press

 to confirm. (

 icon and the minutes digits flash.)

4.    Hold down or press 

SKIP+/SKIP-

  repeatedly to set and adjust the minutes.

5.    Press 

ALARM 1 / ALARM 2

 to confirm

 

and then select your choice of alarm mode: 

BUZZER→RADIO→

IPOD→USB→CARD

6.  

  

Press 

ALARM 1 / ALARM 2

 to confirm.

7.    At the set alarm time, the BUZZER, RADIO, IPOD, USB or CARD will switch on automatically.

Arming and Disarming Alarm (Turn Alarm ON/OFF)

       Slide up 

ALARM ON/OFF

 button to arm or disarm functions. When armed, the related alarm icon 

appears in display.

Resetting the Alarm to Come on the Next Day

       When the alarm is sounding, slide up 

ALARM ON/OFF

 button to stop alarm and reset it to come on the 

following day.

Snooze

   

    

Press the 

SNOOZE

 button after the alarm sounds. The alarm will be silenced and come on again 9 

minutes later. Snooze can be pressed several time during 1 hour alarm cycle.

Helpful hints: 

       If you have selected RADIO alarm mode, make sure you have properly tuned to a station before tuning 

off the set.

       If you have selected IPOD alarm mode, make sure you have docked the compatible player.
       If you have selected USB or CARD mode, make sure you have inserted USB or CARD into related jack 

before tuning off the set.

       To check the alarm time setting for ALARM 1 or ALARM 2, press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button.
