7.2 Commissioning
7.2.1 Commissioning of the PSV
⚫
Confirm pilot spring range within regulator and spring identification label are the same.
⚫
Close ball valve 2 and open ball valve 1.
⚫
Close system downstream isolation valve E and open system upstream isolation valve A.
⚫
Loose plug 5 to remove air from the bonnet of the valve then tight it again.
⚫
Pull PSV regulator 3 to unlock and turn anticlockwise until it open fully.
⚫
Open partially system downstream isolation valve E slowly.
⚫
Open ball valve 2, turn slowly clockwise PSV pilot regulator 3 until desired upstream pressure
is achieved.
⚫
Push PSV regulator 3 to lock, open slowly system downstream isolation valve E until it open
fully, valve is now set.

8. Application hazards
Valves must only be installed in a piping system whose pressure and temperature do not exceed
its nominal pressure (PN)
