4.1
Preparing the Installation Files
Downloading program files from the Internet

Download the current files from our website
http://www.avira.com
to your
local computer. The file name is
antivir-mailgate-prof-<version>.tar.gz

Copy the file to a directory of your choice on the computer on which you want
to install AntiVir MailGate. For example, in
/tmp
.
Unpacking program files
X
Go to the temporary directory:
cd /tmp
X
Unpack the archive for the AntiVir kit:
tar -xzvf antivir-mailgate-prof-<version>.tar.gz
The directory
antivir-mailgate-prof-<version>
will be created in the temporary
directory.
4.2
Licensing
You need a license to run AntiVir MailGate (see
Licensing Concept
– Page 9). The
license file
hbedv.key
is delivered by email. It contains information on the scope and
period of the license.
Acquiring the license

You may test AntiVir MailGate for 30 days, if you fill in the
test license form
on
our website.
