Connecting System to Your PC
1. It is possible to copy map data, music or moving picture files into the built-in flash
memory inside the body or the SD/MMC memory card by connecting the system to a PC
via the USB cable.
It is not allowed t o execute functi ons other t han fil e c opyi ng and moving when t he s yst em is
connec ted t o a PC via t he U SB cable; t he butt on, t he t ouc h scr een, the s oft res et mode and t he G PS
recei ver become inoperable.
The s yst em operat es with the power from t he USB port of t he PC when t he s yst em is connected t o the
PC. Therefor e, the s ys tem s hall be c onnec ted wit h t he USB port wher e t he power is normall y
supplied. T he s yst em may not be capabl e of nor mal operation when c onnec ting wit h t he USB hub.
The batt er y is not rec harged vi a t he USB port
2. After booting the PC, connect the sy stem to the PC using the USB cable as shown
below.
3. When the sy stem is succe ssfully connected to the PC, the screen displays as follows:
4. When the sy stem is normally connected to the PC, you can see two ‘removable disk’
drives in the Windows Explorer window.
