Ethernet connectivity with the TN8412AP circuit pack
The S8400 Media Server supports connectivity with the TN8412AP (SIPI) circuit pack. This
interface is for control signaling only. No bearer traffic is carried over this connection.
The physical connection between the TN8412AP and the TN8400 circuit packs is made by
either:

A 10/100 BaseT Ethernet cross-over cable that directly interconnects the appropriate
backplane pins of the two circuit packs. This cable plugs into the TN8400AP cable adapter
RJ45 ETH-A port and the TN8412AP IPSI-2 adapter RJ45 control port.
●
Connection to the customer LAN.
