2. Designed purpose of use
The AVANT Leaf blower is an attachment that is suitable for use with AVANT multi purpose loaders that are
shown in Table 1. The Leaf blower propels air through a controllable blower chute to move leaves and grass
cuttings from pathways, yard areas, and other paved surfaces. The Leaf blower is suitable also for
professional use.
The Leaf blower is equipped with a powerful hydraulic motor for efficient operation even when handling damp
leaves. As standard, the leaf blower chute can be turned electrically by 235 degrees directly from the driver’s
seat, 90 degrees to the left and 145 degrees to the right from the straight forward pointing direction. The
electrical turning can be controlled with a switch delivered with the attachment, or with the Opticontrol
®
attachment control system, which is optional equipment for loaders. In frequent use the Opticontrol
®
system is
recommended.
As standard, the Leaf blower is equipped with manual throwing height adjustment. The optional electric
throwing height adjustment can be operated only with the optional Opticontrol
®
system, or with the attachment
control switch pack. The Leaf blower is not designed for any other use than what is specified in this manual
and must not be used for any other purposes than what is intended for. The leaf blower is intended for blowing
of air only. It must not be used as any kind of vacuum unit, or as a spreader.
The attachment has been designed to require as little maintenance as possible. The operator can perform
regular maintenance tasks. All repair work can’t be performed by the operator, and demanding repair and
maintenance operations are to be left for professional technicians. All maintenance work must be done using
proper safety equipment. Spare parts must be identical with original specifications, which can be ensured by
using only original spare parts. A separate spare parts catalogue may be available, consult your Avant dealer.
