WARNING
Pinch point hazard - Keep hands clear.
Always keep your fingers away from any
cracks that open in the log during splitting. They can quickly close and pinch your fingers.
WARNING
Risk of burns - Keep clear of hot surfaces.
The unit parts
and hydraulic oil can be hotter than 80 °C. Keep clear of hot
surfaces. Wear personal protective equipment.
6.2.2
Adjusting the stroke length
When the logs are shorter than the cylinder
stroke, the stroke can be adjusted so that
unnecessary travel of the cylinder is
minimized, thus speeding up the work.
The initial position of the stroke is adjusted
by moving a limiter flange installed on a
limiter rod. The limiter rod is mounted on the
splitting carriage (2).
1.
Extend the splitting carriage (2) and
stop it with the stop lever.
To move the carriage, the cylinder
should be extended slowly.
2.
Stop the loader engine.
3.
Loosen the screw (1) and move the
limiter flange to the desired position.
4.
Fasten the screw (1) when the limiter
flange is re-located.
