Troubleshooting and Other Resources
This section describes where to get more information about Autodesk
MapGuide LiteView and MapGuide, where to find other sample applications,
and how to solve the following common problems for the sample applica-
tions:
■
Autodesk MapGuide LiteView does not display maps by layer.
You can simulate the display of specific map layers by following instruc-
tions in “Displaying Data by Layer” on page 77
■
Autodesk MapGuide LiteView does not scale the map asymmetrically to
fix the pixel rectangle when the bounding box and pixel rectangle are dif-
ferent.
You can implement the Recenter function as described in “Designing the
Recenter Feature,” on page 78 to solve this problem.
■
Autodesk MapGuide LiteView can’t read the GML DTD while offline or
behind a firewall.
You can use the FeatureInfoDTD parameter in the
config.ini
file to point to
the local GML DTD that Autodesk MapGuide LiteView Setup installs; see
“Accessing the GML DTD While Offline,” on page 80 to solve this prob-
lem.
Displaying Data by Layer
To simulate the display of specific map layers, you can create separate MWFs
at the zoom magnification that you want for display, and link each MWF to
layer buttons. You can determine the default bounding box of the layer by
using Autodesk MapGuide Author and specifying the bounding box to simu-
late turning on layers.
To determine the default bounding box of a layer
1
Open Autodesk MapGuide Author and choose File
➤
Preferences.
2
Check Display Mouse Position.
