Assembly Instructions:
1. Line up one of the top / bottom plates with the inside of the lip on the 3RU front plate and screw into place
using 5 6/32” Philips Black Flat Countersunk Screws. Note the orientation of the plate as the side with the
spacer protruding should be facing outward towards the inside lip of the front plate.
2. Repeat step one for the bottom making certain the holes for the DXE-CAT units match up to the top plate.
3. Slide DXE-CAT units into DXE-CAT-RK3 in from the rear, and screw into place using the 4/40” screws
supplied with the DXE-CAT unit for the mounting ears. Two will be used for the top and the other 2 for the
bottom.
4. If applicable slide Blank Plate DXE-CAT-RK3BL in from the rear and screw into place. The blanks come
supplied with 4/40” screws.
5. Insert DXE-CAT-RK3 into rack mount and screw into place using 10/32 X ¾ Round Black Rack Mount
screws. It can be mounted in either orientation that best suites the wiring.
6. Make certain there is proper ventilation above and below the DXE-CAT-RK3. If rack is hot or adequate
airflow is not available it is highly suggested to add a fan for proper cooling.
