Line In
Select the LINE mode with the FUNCTION switch. Connect external media/audio players to the LINE IN jack
on the rear using a 3.5mm audio cable. Use the external player to playback your audio. Adjust the output
volume with the VOL/POWER knob.
Recording/Encoding (Phone/Line In -> USB/SD)
You can use the Verticalo to convert audio from vinyl records or any external player connected via LINE IN
into MP3 files saved on a connected USB drive or SD card:
• Slide the FUNCTION switch to PHONO / LINE.
• Insert a USB thumb drive or an SD card with sufficient free space.
• Place a record on the platter, or respectively connect an external player to the LINE IN socket.
• Press and hold REC for 3 seconds to activate the recording function. Start playing the record / external
player.
• Press REC briefly to interrupt the encoding process. Press again to move on (function stays active).
• Press and hold REC for 3 seconds to end recording.
• To listen to the previously made recording from USB/SD, slide FUNCTION to USB/SD and press REC.
USB/SD
Slide the FUNCTION switch to USB/SD and insert a USB drive / SD card into the respective socket. The
playback of contained MP3 files begins automatically (max. 999 files readable). Use the buttons FWD/+,
BACK/- and PLAY/PAUSE, as convenient.
Press USB/SD to toggle between both, if both are connected.
ERP
This unit has a POWER SAVING FUNCTION, to comply with ErP Stage II regulations. If the unit is not opera -
ted or there is no signal output for 15 minutes, it will automatically turn itself off. Turn the ON/OFF Volume
switch to OFF position, after about 5 seconds and then to ON again to re-activate the unit.
