3. Frequency dialing, search forward / back
In the radio mode: press and hold >> or << until the automatic search begins. Press these buttons only
briefly to change the frequency manually.
4. APS button
In radio mode:
(1) When you press and hold APS, the unit will auto-
matically scan from the lowest frequency on the radio
transmitter and the signal strength will be checked
until a search is completed. The 6 stations with the
best reception are automatically stored on the me-
mory buttons 1-6. You can repeat this on each fre-
quency band (3 x 6 for FM & 2 x 6 for AM).
(2) Simply press this button to have the preset sta-
tions checked again.
Note:
FM1, FM2, FM3 are individually checked under
FM; AM1 and AM2 are individually checked under AM.
5. Preset station [1-6] buttons
The preset stations can be called up using these buttons.
6. STEREO/MONO button
To switch between STEREO/MONO playback in the FM frequency band, push the ST button.
7. LOC button
(1) Should a radio signal begin to get weaker, the display will show LOC. Press LOC, then the radio will
try again with better reception.
(2) If a radio signal is too strong so as to cause interference, LOC will appear in the display. Press LOC,
then the radio will try again with better reception.
8. PTY (program type) button
Here you may search stations for the type of the program. You may search for music or information
separately. Press PTY to toggle between music and information, turn the volume control to switch bet-
ween the program types. This only works if the stations in your area support PTY. Sequence of styles:
