Additional solutions
VisionAid Technologies Ltd offer completely free and no
obligation in home demonstrations of 100s of specialised
solutions designed to help visually impaired users to maintain or
regain their independence. Some of the latest and most exciting
types of solutions are:
Wearable Video Magnifiers
Allow users to watch television again, see friends and loved
ones’ faces, cook, participate in hobbies, go to the cinema or
theatre again and even watch live sporting events.
Desktop Video Magnifiers
Designed to help users read comfortably for much longer periods
of time (e.g. to read the daily newspaper, books, magazines
etc.). Some units also feature a magnifying mirror feature for
personal grooming.
Reading machines
If magnification is sadly no longer enough, reading machines can
read your document out loud to you with the push of a button.
They include very human sounding voices, different accents and
support many languages.
Computer connectible devices
Ideal for computer users, these systems can magnify documents
on your computer screen and some can also read them out loud.
