Telephone Book
The telephone book is used for storing
useful or frequently dialled telephone
numbers along with the associated names.
You can enter up to 99 telephone numbers
into the telephone book.
You can search for entries by scrolling or by
entering the first letter in the name and dial
the displayed telephone number directly
from the telephone book.
If a telephone number that is entered in the
telephone book is transmitted during a call,
not only will the telephone number be
displayed but also the associated name. A
name saved in the PBX (for example, in the
short-code memory) is overridden by any
corresponding entries in the telephone
book on that telephone.
The keypad is used to enter the name. The
key assignments are listed in the following
table:
Creating an Entry in the Telephone
Book
Important: While the system is in
operation, enter external telephone
numbers into a PBX, if necessary, with
a leading exchange line access
number (for example, “0”).
1.
Press and hold the telephone book
key
for approx. 3 seconds.
2.
Enter the telephone number.

Enter a maximum of 20 digits.

Press keys 0...9 for digits 0...9.

Press the * key or # key to enter the
character * or #.
쐽
Press the Redial key to insert a
dialling pause.
Note: You can use the Del key to
delete the previous digit if necessary.

Press the Telephone book key .

Enter the name.

Enter a maximum of 16 characters.

Press the keys 0...9, * or # once or
multiple times for entering the
characters and digits listed in the
table on
Page 29 .
5.
Press the Telephone book key .
6.
If you would like to continue making
entries, repeat steps 2-5.
7.
Press the Exit key.
Modifying a Telephone Book Entry
1.
Press the Telephone book key .
2.
Use the arrow keys to scroll to the
entry you want.
Note: Selecting the first letter of a
name using the keypad allows you to
find the entry you are looking for more
quickly.
3.
Press and hold the Telephone book
key
for approx. 3 seconds.
4.
Change the telephone number.
