SWITCH SETTINGS:
Setting Dip Switch - Low Cut Filter
Inside the base, locate the switch on the PCB labeled “Low Cut Filter” [Figure 6].
The filter (12dB, 2nd order) provides additional protection from bass frequencies
that may cause rumble, hum, or vibration by eliminating frequencies below 100 Hz.
To engage the filter, push the dip switch to the “on” position.
Setting Dip Switches - On, Off, Mute
Inside the base, locate the panel of 3 dip switches on the PCB [Figure 7]. The top
switch determines whether the control of the switch is handled externally by logic
or locally by the user. The default is “local”. The other two sets of switches control
the function of the lighted switch on the front of the base [Figure 7].
The options are:
1: “Momentary” hold to talk or hold to mute.
2: “Toggle” (also known as “latching”) push on and push off. There are 4 switch
function combinations as follows:
SWITCH FUNCTION (Local Mode) DIP SWITCH SETTING
1. Momentary Mute:
Mic is on;
switch is pressed and held to mute.
2. Momentary Talk:
Mic is off;
switch is pressed and held to talk.
3. Toggle Off:
Mic is on; switch is
pressed to turn the mic off and on
4.
Toggle On:
Mic is off; switch is
pressed to turn the mic on and off
SWITCH FUNCTION (External Mode)
By setting the dip switch (#3) to the “E” position, the switch functions can
be controlled remotely by an automated mixer. In this case, the function of
the switch on top of the base can be programmed by the installer for
custom applications.
