4.13 Range
information
The range of the handset is ca. 50 metres in closed rooms and ca. 300 metres outdoors.
When there is a good contact with the base station, the
symbol will come on in the
display.
If you are too far away from the base station, the
symbol will flash and you hear a warn
signal. In this case, move nearer to the base station once more, as otherwise the call will be
interrupted.
4.14 Temporary tone dialling
If you can only use your telephone in Pulse Dialling mode, you do not have to forego the
facilities of Tone Dialling (e.g. interrogating an answering machine). You can change
temporarily to Tone Dialling during a call. Press the
button for one second. PULSE
dialling will be reselected at the end of the call.
4.15 Paging from the base station to the handset
If you cannot remember where you have left the handset, press the
button on the base
station. You will hear the handset audible signals for 30 seconds and thus be able to find it
again easily. You can cancel the audible signals earlier by pressing any button on the
handset or the
button on the base station.
