3.8 Configuration

Overview

Configuration is typically accomplished via an SP-LCD4 attached to the
D-Subminiature connector on the monitor.  Audio International reserves
the right to add, delete, or alter functions from the setup menus without
advance notification to the user.  To access the Main Menu, press the
“MENU 1” button, which will cause the Monitor setup menu to be
displayed on the AI-LCD220-01-x.  To scroll through the setup modes,
press the “MENU 2” button to scroll forward or the “MENU1” button to
scroll back.  When in the desired mode for setup monitor, press either
LEFT (-) or RIGHT (+) to change the selected value.  Pressing the LEFT
button decreases the selected value and pressing the RIGHT button
increases the selected value.  Press the appropriate button for the desired
adjustment.  Press the “MENU 2” button to scroll to the next menu option.

Note: Native mode will be displayed in the setup menu of some
monitors.  If this mode is displayed on your monitor, it is important
to only select “NO.”  This menu is for factory testing only.  Selecting
“YES” may put the monitor in a default mode that can only be reset
by the factory.

A typical Monitor Setup Menu consists of the following modes

1.  “OSD H-POS”- On-Screen Display (OSD) horizontal position.
2.  “OSD V-POS”- OSD vertical position.
3.  “OSD TIMEOUT”- Timeout period until monitor defaults out of menu mode.
4.  “BACKLIGHT”- Backlighting intensity.
5.  “FACTORY PRESET”- All modes may be reset to the default factory setting.  Select

either “YES” or “NO”.

6.  “SOURCE PRIORITY”- Selects priority operating mode to either “PC” (personal

computer) or “COMP” (composite mode).  Setting this mode to “PC” allows user to
normally view composite video until a PC laptop is turned on, then the monitor will
automatically switch to PC input upon sensing VGA input.

7.  “NATIVE”- Used only by the Audio International for test purposes.  Always select

“NO.”

8. “CENTER”-

Centers the viewing area.

9.  “H-POS”- Adjusts viewing area horizontally.
10.  “V-POS”- Adjusts viewing area vertically.
11.  “SHARPNESS”- Adjusts picture sharpness.
12.   “COLOR”- Adjusts picture color.
13.  “TINT”- Adjusts picture tint.
14.  “CONTRAST”- Adjusts picture contrast.
15.  “BRIGHT”- Adjusts picture brightness.

16.

“EXIT”- Exits setup menu.

The setup menu may vary slightly from monitor model to model.  As
technology advances, additional features may be added to the setup
menu and existing features may be modified.  Audio International’s
intention is to provide clear and concise instructions on any new or
modified feature in the setup menu as these changes occur.
