Wi-Fi Configuration
With a subscription to either Audi connect PRIME or Audi connect
PLUS, Audi connect can provide you with Google Earth, Google Voice
Local Search, Wi-Fi Hotspot, myAudi Destinations and Online Services
like fuel prices, weather information, travel information, personalized
feeds and more.* Once your dealer has activated your Audi connect
subscription within the vehicle, you may begin to configure your Wi-Fi
connection.
1.
Press the TEL function.
2.
Press the right control button.
3.
Select
Wi-Fi settings
; ensure that Wi-Fi mode is set to On.
4.
Select
Network key
and enter an eight-character password, or use the default password. Use the touchpad to enter
characters or shift the control knob forward to open the speller.
5.
Scroll using the control knob to select
OK
.
6.
To connect to Wi-Fi on your device select the access point that matches the one in your car and enter the password.
Note: To ensure that the access point appears by default as an option on your device, check the Visible to others box within the MMI Wi-Fi
settings menu.

Points of Interest: Online Destination Search
1.
Press the Voice Recognition button on the steering wheel.
2.
After tone say “
Google Search
” or “
Online Destinations,
” followed
by a keywords like coffee shop, bookstore, museu, or pizza.
3.
Make your selection from the displayed list:

By speaking the line number.
•
Or saying “
Next page
” to view additional results.
4.
Say “
Start route guidance
” to begin navigation to your destination, or say “
Call
,” which will call the location.

myAudi Connectivity
The myAudi app* can help personalize your R8 experience. Once you set up a myAudi
account and an Audi brand specialist has completed the Audi connect key user setup,
you can then log in from your vehicle via the MMI:
To link an existing myAudi Account to your vehicle:
1.
Start at the Home menu
Audi connect
.
2.
Press the right control button.
3.
Scroll down with shift knob and select
Log in
.
4.
Enter your myAudi username and password.
5.
Once done, select
Log in
. Login data can be saved so you don’t have to enter it again.
