The Tiptronic program enables
you to change gear manually.
To do this, move the selector
lever out of position D

Press the selector lever forwards
briefly to shift up a gear, or push
the lever back to shift down a
gear.

Automatic ride height
adjustment
The ride height is normally ad-
justed automatically to one of
the four settings, depending on
the road speed. The diodes flash
while the ride height is being
adjusted and light up perma-
nently when the new ride height
is reached.

Each time you press the button,

Notes: Higher settings should
only be selected when the en-
gine is running. In certain cir-
cumstances, the automatic
mode will override the manually
selected setting, for instance to
lower the suspension at high
speeds. However, the automatic
mode will not intervene if the
low suspension setting has been
selected manually.
Take care when parking: the
vehicle height is automatically
adjusted according to variations
in temperature and loading.

Low Range off-road gearing
The Low Range off-road gearing
facilitates driving in difficult
terrain and towing a trailer on
steep slopes. It can be used at
speeds up to 50 km/h.
If you exceed this speed, the

flashing and an acoustic warn-
ing is simultaneously given. You
should then reduce speed or
disengage Low Range.
Engaging Low Range:
LOW RANGE can be engaged
when the car is stationary, or at
speeds up to 30 km/h. Press the
clutch pedal all the way down
and press the LOW RANGE but-
ton on the left of the gear lever.

instrument cluster will light up
to indicate that Low Range has
been engaged. Release the
clutch pedal.
Disengaging Low Range:
Press the clutch pedal all the
way down and press the LOW

when LOW RANGE has been
disengaged.
Note: You can also disengage
LOW RANGE by pressing the
clutch pedal when switching off
the engine.
Warning: If you hear a warning
sound when the engine is
switched off, Low Range has
not disengaged properly. In this
case, start the engine again and
keep holding the clutch pedal
until the Low Range gearing has
completely disengaged and

To call up the main menu, press
the MENU button when the
vehicle is stationary. Turn the
pushbutton to move the selector
arrow to the option you wish to
select, and press the pushbutton
to confirm. This activates the
submenu. Proceed by turning
and pressing the pushbutton

The parking aid is automatically
activated when reverse gear is
engaged. Press the switch to
activate the parking aid manu-
ally if you are driving forwards
into a tight space.
