Quick Start
The T89C5121-SK1 Starter Kit includes a T85C5121 and a T89C5121 microcontroller.
The demonstration board and accompanying software allow you to read data from a
smartcard and display it on a host PC.
You can also load your own application (in .hex file format) to retrieve data from a smart-
card or a credit card.
2.4
Connecting the
Microcontroller
The T8xC5121 Demonstration Board is designed to support two different microcontrol-
lers, T85C5121 and T89C5121.
The microcontrollers are connected either on the bottom or top of the board, respec-
tively.
The T89C5121 requires the use of the SSOP24 Adapter which must be plugged into the
DIL support. Alternatively, the T89C5121 can be soldered on the board.
