SBD-750/1000
The
SDB-750/1000
is powered by the
ARM7TDMI 32-bit RISC processor based
AT91R40807. In combination with the 2
Mbytes SRAM and 16 MBytes of program
memory (FLASH), the board operates in a
standalone mode. It is available with an up
to one million gates ProASIC PLUS FPGA
from Actel.
The
SDB-750/1000
can be used in a
wide range of applications. Whether high
performance, compute-intensive applications
or industrial applications or systems in need
of advanced power management, they are
all well supported by the AT91 CPU. The
PMC port with the PTMC extension opens
the door to the telecom sector.
Software Support
The
SDB-750/1000
runs the eCos operat-
ing system from RedHat. The GCC tool suite
running on Linux and Windows platforms
supports software design. The JTAG in-circuit
emulator (ICE) interface eases system
debugging. Also, a serial port can be used
to interface to a GDB debugger running on
a host computer.
In-System Programming
The
SDB-750/1000
supports the repro-
gramming of the FPGA by using a standard
JTAG header or by the on-board RISC-
processor.
Interfaces and Hardware Support
The
SDB-750/1000
is designed to support
real System-on-Chip applications. The
external CPU can be disabled and replaced
with a controller residing inside the ProASIC
PLUS device. All external resources such
as SRAM and FLASH memory are available
to the on-board CPU.
